Historically, tipping is a gesture used when a customer receives a high level of services or wants to ensure that they will continue to receive a high level of service upon return visits. As I am a therapeutic massage practitioner, not a spa, I offer quality professional and therapeutic massage treatments each visit. Too often, clients see quality and effort of therapists in spa settings fluctuate depending upon the amount of tip left behind. My No Gratuity Policy keeps the focus on your treatment and collaborative health care.
At Elevation, your service will always be at the highest level we can give, so we feel that you should not have the added expense or stress of determining how to tip for service. If you’re feeling especially generous, feel free to bring me a cup of coffee every once in a while.
**In a spa environment, where pay is often commission-based and in line with a service- and retail- based industry, tipping is necessary and encouraged to supplement low wages. So please do continue to tip your massage therapist when in a spa setting at other locations.**
